Sometimes after a period of time on an energy reducing program you may find that your weight loss slows or stops.
There are several reasons why this may happen and this is different for everyone, these include:
  • If you are not sticking to the weight loss program
  • Undiagnosed insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, PCOS or thyroid disease
  • Even diagnosed insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, PCOS or thyroid disease on or not on meds. Also these conditions with medications unchecked and monitored – dose may be incorrect and be preventing weight loss, particularly in thyroid disease.
  • Slow Metabolism
  • Steroid medications
  • Skipping meals, snacks
  • Overdoing the exercise or for some people lack of exercise
  • Females: having your periods
  • Lack of bowel function

Tony Ferguson – HOW 8 GLASSES A DAY KEEPS FAT AWAY

Tony_fergusonWater is the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off. It is important to drink 8-10 glasses (approximately 2 Litres) a day.

You should also increase the amount if you exercise briskly or if the weather is hot and dry. It should preferably be cold because it absorbs into the system quicker than warm water.

If you’re not drinking enough water, your body fluids will be thrown off balance and you may experience fluid retention, unexplained weight gain and loss of thirst. Ultimately, when your body gets the water it needs to function at its best, its fluids are perfectly balanced.

Tony Ferguson Chicken Casserole

Chickencasserole

Ingredients:
4 x 120g lean chicken thigh fillets, cubed (women) OR
4 x 220g lean chicken thigh fillets, cubed (men)
2 x large brown onion, thickly sliced
2 x teaspoon minced garlic
2 x 400g can tomatoes
1 ½ cups chicken stock
½ cup red wine
1 x carrot, diced
1 x small green capsicum, cut into 2cm pieces
1 x small yellow capsicum, cut into 2cm pieces
5 whole bay leaves, finely chopped
¾ cup loosely packed parsley, finely chopped
Olive oil spray
Pinch salt and pepper to taste
